Private Garden Visit

A visit to the garden of long time Friend Irene Wischik. She lives at 20 The Chanonry in Old Aberdeen, and opens her one acre garden by arrangement under the Scotland Garden Open (SGS) scheme.

We have organised a private visit for FCBG members (and any friends and neighbours whom they may wish to bring along) on Sat 17th June from 1400 to 1600. The walled garden is a little piece of paradise, and a riot of colour. There is a lot to see.

Entry will be £5 (children free), which is divided between the SGS and Irene’s chosen charity - SSAFA Forces Help. Tea and cakes will be provided free by a combination of Irene and FCBG. Please bring a brolly if it looks like rain and, although some seating will be available, fetch a rug if you want to sit on the grass.

Parking is free in permit areas of The Chanonry at weekends, or you can go to Seaton Park and have a short amble along Cathedral Walk. There are a few parking spaces on Irene’s property, so if you have limited mobility, let us know and we will reserve you a space if we can.

Irene will have some of her own plants for sale. Cash only.

This is a PRIVATE visit for FCBG members and guests who accompany them. It is not open to the public. Please let us know if you wish to attend, and the size of your party, by e-mailing friendsofcbgmembership@gmail.com by 10th June.
